31-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Arapahoe County

Arapahoe County, CO (September 26, 2025) — A 31-year-old man died Wednesday night after a tragic pedestrian crash near East Florida Avenue and South Alton Street.

Colorado State Patrol said the crash happened around 9:45 p.m. as the man crossed the road outside a crosswalk while wearing dark clothing. A westbound driver hit him and stopped at the scene, but a second vehicle struck and dragged him before fleeing.

Troopers have not released a description of the second vehicle and are asking witnesses or anyone who may have struck unknown debris in the area between 9:45 and 10 p.m. to contact the CSP Denver Regional Dispatch Center.
