Crippling Pedestrian Crash on 1000 Zaragoza Street

Injuries Reported in Laredo Pedestrian Accident on 1000 Zaragoza Street

LAREDO, TX (February 15, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a 2 people were airlifted after a crippling pedestrian crash on 1000 Zaragoza Street.

The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Zaragoza Street.

The incident happened when a parked car attempted to merge into traffic and struck the vehicle in front of it. The impact pinned two pedestrians crossing the street.

Emergency crews responded quickly. A 57-year-old woman and a 5-year-old girl were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The woman was later treated and released. The girl’s injuries were more serious, and she was airlifted to San Antonio for specialized care.

The Laredo Police Department’s Crash Team is investigating.

The cause of the crash and any possible charges remain under review. Authorities said more information will be released as it becomes available.
