Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 3700 Camino Del Rio West

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 11, 2025) – Sunday afternoon, a disastrous pedestrian crash on 3700 Camino Del Rio West injured a man.

The incident happened at about 12:20 p.m. in the 3700 block of Camino Del Rio West.

Police said a 69-year-old man was seriously injured after trying to cross the street midblock during heavy traffic. As he stepped into the far-left lane, a southbound 2021 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 34-year-old man struck him.

Emergency crews took the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for a fractured pelvis and an open fracture to his right leg. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved.

Traffic Division investigators are looking into the crash. Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
