SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 18, 2026) – Sunday night, a woman died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 4100 Loop 1604.

The incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle happened at about 8:42 p.m. on the 4100 block of Loop 1604.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a woman was killed after being struck by a Volkswagen Jetta on a highway.

Officers arrived to find the woman unresponsive. Investigators said she was reportedly walking eastbound outside a designated crosswalk when the vehicle hit her.
