AUSTIN, TX (July 30, 2026) – Saturday night, a person died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 5600 North Interstate 35.

The incident involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian happened in the 5600 block of North Interstate 35 northbound.

According to police, the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and died two days later, on Monday, July 27.

The collision is being investigated as Austin’s 45th fatal traffic crash of 2026.
