The incident started at around 2:15 p.m. when authorities started a pursuit against a stolen vehicle on 3rd Street and Frank J Valdovino Road.

According to reports, the police chase ended at the Motel 6 on the 82000 block of Indio Boulevard when the suspect vehicle struck a Riverside Sheriff’s Patrol Unit and a pedestrian.
