Thermal Man Dies in Auto-Pedestrian Collision Near Pierce Street

Thermal, CA (April 11, 2024) On Tuesday evening, an 84-year-old male Thermal resident was killed in a tragic pedestrian crash on Avenue 70.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the deadly auto-pedestrian collision happened at about 9:35 p.m. on Avenue 70, just west of Pierce Street.

Reports say that an eastbound 2022 Toyota Camry, driven by a 22-year-old man struck the victim.

Riverside County Fire Department paramedics found the 84-year-old man on the road and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the fatal accident and have not released further details about the crash.
