PLEASANTON, CA (October 12, 2025) – Thursday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 580 near Foothill Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:58 p.m. on Interstate 580 near Foothill Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who ran into the lanes of traffic for still unknown reasons. Then, authorities believe that multiple vehicles struck the pedestrian who was already down the pavement.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
