Callaway County, MO (October 24, 2025) — On Tuesday evening, a 44-year-old man from Columbia died after a deadly crash on Interstate 70 near mile marker 137.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred just before 10 p.m. when the man was walking in the left lane of the freeway. The impact proved fatal, and authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. His body was later taken to Parker-Millard Funeral Home.

The semi-truck driver, a 51-year-old from Buchanan, Tennessee, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
