1 Person Hospitalized in Sebastian Pedestrian Accident on Interstate Highway 69E

SEBASTIAN, TX (May 25, 2026) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on Interstate Highway 69E injured one person.

The incident happened at around 12:27 p.m. on southbound Interstate Highway 69E.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a southbound Chevrolet Suburban towing a Honda Pilot lost control and collided with a southbound black Nissan Altima.

Then, the force of the crash pushed the Chevrolet off the roadway and into a ditch, where it struck a man standing there.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to Valley Baptist Medical Center with critical injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the DPS continued investigating the crash.
