Tragic Pedestrian Crash on Lamar Boulevard Claims a Life [Austin, TX]

Austin, TX (April 11, 2024) On Wednesday evening, a person died after a tragic pedestrian crash on Lamar Boulevard.

According to the Austin Police Department, the fatal crash happened around 9 p.m. on the 2200 block of South Lamar Boulevard.

Reports say that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area. Medics rushed the victim to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, where the person ultimately succumbed to their injury and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say that the driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.

APD is investigating the fatal pedestrian crash.
