Pedestrian Killed in North Hollywood Hit-and-Run; Driver Still Sought

Los Angeles, CA (May 7, 2025) — Early Wednesday, a pedestrian lost their life after a shocking hit-and-run crash on Magnolia Boulevard. Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash happened around 1:53 a.m. on Magnolia Boulevard west of Tujunga Avenue near the Hollywood (170) Freeway and North Hollywood Recreation Center Park.

Investigators said a gray newer-model BMW, possibly a 5 Series, was traveling west on Magnolia Boulevard when it hit a man in his 30s who was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.

Authorities said the driver continued westbound without stopping. Detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are asking the public for help identifying the suspect vehicle and driver.
