Driver Arrested for Suspected Intoxication After Crash on North Buckner Boulevard in Dallas

DALLAS, TX (March 12, 2026) — A woman died in a crash on North Buckner Boulevard Thursday night after a driver allegedly struck her while she was crossing a street near her apartment complex in the White Rock area, according to Dallas police.

Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to the 2700 block of North Buckner Boulevard, where they found the injured woman at the scene. 

Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital, but she died shortly after arriving, authorities said.

Investigators reported that the driver stayed at the scene after the collision. 

Police believe he was intoxicated at the time of the crash and took him into custody. 

Authorities said he is expected to face an intoxication manslaughter charge.

Police also noted that the victim lived at a nearby apartment complex and was struck while crossing the roadway.

Officials have not yet released the names of the victim or the suspect. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
