1 Person Dead in Jurupa Valley Pedestrian Accident on Rutile Street near 50th Street

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (August 19, 2025) – Sunday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on Rutile Street near 50th Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on Rutile Street, less than a block south of 50th Street.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a car struck a pedestrian who was on the narrow two-lane residential corridor and outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders pronounced the pedestrian, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the driver of the car remained at the scene and was not arrested.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Rutile Street between 50th and Jurupa Road but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
