Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Three Vehicles on SR-97 in Okanogan County
Okanogan County, WA (November 4, 2025) — A tragic crash on State Route 97 Saturday evening claimed the life of a pedestrian.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the fatal collision happened along SR-97 near Milepost 265.
Reports say that a pedestrian was struck by three vehicles, the pedestrian was walking in the northbound lane near Milepost 265 for reasons still under investigation.
The first driver heading north tried to swerve but was unable to avoid hitting the individual, stopping shortly afterward on the right shoulder.
The victim remained on the roadway and was subsequently hit by two more northbound vehicles. Both drivers continued driving after the impact, though one was later located by law enforcement.
WSP confirmed that drugs and alcohol played a role in the collision. No other injuries were reported.
