One Pedestrian Killed, Another Critically Injured in Pico-Union Collision

Los Angeles, CA (June 14, 2025) — A tragic pedestrian crash on Venice Boulevard in Los Angeles’ Pico-Union neighborhood left one person dead and another critically injured early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded around 1:20 a.m. to the intersection of Venice Boulevard and South Oak Street after receiving reports of a vehicle striking two pedestrians.

Emergency personnel pronounced one victim dead at the scene, while the second pedestrian suffered critical injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released the identities, ages, or genders of the victims.

Investigators said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
