Horrific Pedestrian Crash on Venice Boulevard Kills Man [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (February 7, 2025) A man was killed after a shocking pedestrian crash on Venice Boulevard.

According to the LAPD, the fatal incident happened on January 29 around 9 p.m. in Los Angeles’ Arlington Heights neighborhood.

Reports say that a male pedestrian was crossing Venice Boulevard at St. Andrews Place in a marked crosswalk, when a driver heading westbound on Venice Boulevard hit the victim, causing a violent impact that dragged him underneath the vehicle.

Authorities says that the suspect continued driving until the next street, where the victim was dislodged before the driver sped away, leaving him on the road.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, he later died.

Police described the suspect’s vehicle as a light-colored SUV or crossover but have not released details about the driver. Authorities are withholding the victim’s name until they notify his family.

LAPD reminded motorists to stop and remain at the scene of any collision, call emergency services, and provide identification. They also urged pedestrians to use crosswalks and stay cautious while crossing streets.

A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s identification, arrest, and conviction.
