Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Pickup Truck in Oxnard

Oxnard, CA (November 28, 2025) — A 66-year-old man from Oxnard died after a pedestrian crash on Victoria Avenue Monday evening.

According to Oxnard police, the crash happened around 6:11 p.m. near Curlew Way.

Reports say that a 41-year-old Oxnard man was driving a Ford F-150 south on Victoria Avenue when he hit the pedestrian, who was standing in the roadway. The driver immediately called police and stayed at the scene.

Bystanders attempted CPR before officers and paramedics arrived. Emergency crews found the victim in the roadway with severe injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators do not believe speed or impairment played a role, though the crash remains under investigation. Traffic in the area was temporarily slowed while police examined the scene.
