Woman in Wheelchair Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Modesto

Modesto, CA (November 10, 2025) — A woman using a wheelchair lost her life Thursday evening, in a frightening pedestrian crash on Yosemite Boulevard.

According to Modesto Police, the crash happened around 8:45 p.m. west of Santa Cruz Avenue.

Authorities say that a Toyota Tacoma struck the woman as she was traveling in the area. She sustained severe injuries and passed away the following morning.

The Traffic Safety Unit is handling the investigation, while the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office will release her identity once relatives are notified.
