1 Killed in Oceanside Pedestrian Crash on Mission Avenue near Roymar Road

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (September 11, 2022) – Friday morning, a pedestrian died in an accident on Mission Avenue near Roymar Road.
 
According to the Oceanside Police Department, the incident happened at around 5:37 a.m. Also, the collision occurred on Mission Avenue between the intersections of Roymar Road and Foussat Road.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was trying to cross the roadway.
 
Moreover, an off-duty Camp Pendleton EMT performed life-saving measures on the victim but to no avail. Moments later, officials pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
Furthermore, authorities diverted the eastbound traffic on Mission Avenue to Roymar Road for several hours.
 
Meanwhile, officials asked anyone with information about the crash to call Investigator Kevin Lissner at 760-435-4431.
