Pedestrian Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on CR 2501 [Van Zandt County, TX]

Van Zandt County, TX (May 15, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally injured following a hit-and-run crash on CR 2501 Thursday night.

It was around 11:30 p.m. in May 8 when the deadly crash happened in Van Zandt County.

Troopers said the vicim was walking south when they were hit by a vehicle driven in an unknown direction.

In the meantime, officers are asking anyone who may have details on this fatal crash to call Texas DPS at 940-327-9122.
