Tucson, AZ (March 9, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally injured following an I-19 hit-and-run crash early Tuesday morning.

The deadly vehicle crash happened past 1 a.m. near the Pima Mine Road exit.

Troopers said the victim was possibly hit by a Mercedes Sprinter van that is likely damaged to its driver’s side and headlight.

In the meantime, the authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending notification of family.
