Police Search Driver After Hit-and-Run Crash at East 75th Street in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (December 10, 2025) — A pedestrian remains in critical condition after being struck in a hit-and-run crash at East 75th Street on Tuesday night.

According to the Kansas City Police Department, the incident occurred shortly after 8:20 p.m. 

Two officers, stopped at a red light in a marked patrol vehicle, witnessed a person attempting to cross The Paseo when an unknown vehicle hit the individual and fled the scene.

The driver did not stop to render aid. Officers immediately responded by administering emergency medical care before the victim was transported to a nearby hospital. 

The individual is currently listed in critical condition.

Authorities have not yet released a description of the suspect vehicle. 

The investigation remains active as police continue their search for the hit-and-run driver.
