Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver After Crash on Figueroa Street in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (May 30, 2025) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Figueroa Street.

Detectives asked the public for help on Friday as they searched for a driver who fatally struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in South Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 9:20 p.m. 

Thursday near the intersection of Figueroa and 115th Streets. A vehicle traveling northbound on Figueroa struck a woman in her 30s and continued driving without stopping, as the law requires.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. 

Authorities have not released her identity, pending notification of her next of kin.

Police urged anyone with information about the hit-and-run to contact the LAPD South Traffic Division at 323-421-2500 and ask for Officer Noland.
