Man Hospitalized in San Diego Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 29, 2019) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Thursday morning after a driver struck the victim at Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard and Paseo Montril.
 
According to San Diego police Lt. Shawn Takeuchi, the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. Emergency crews arrived and transported the victim to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment of major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
 
Reports did not specify the details or cause of the accident but detectives with the San Diego Police Department are combing through the evidence to determine the cause.
