Pedestrian Injured in Accident on S 76th Street [Tacoma, WA]

Tacoma, WA (July 3, 2025) –  A pedestrian was injured in an accident on S 76th Street early Wednesday morning.

It was around 4:45 a.m. when the collision happened near Pacific Avenue.

Tacoma police said a car struck a pedestrian and then a power pole. 

Immediately, the pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital in unknown condition and the authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

A resident reported hearing a transformer explode and almost 2,000 customers were without power for a couple of hours.
