Woman Hospitalized After Hit-And-Run Crash on Bevis Street in Houston

Houston, TX (September 29, 2025) – A female pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Bevis Street early Sunday morning.

The Houston Police Department reported the incident at about 2:32 a.m. on September 21, 2025, near the 2000 block of Bevis. According to Lt. Ali, the pedestrian was struck by a driver who fled the scene.

An Uber driver who witnessed the crash provided dashcam footage to investigators. 

Police later found a vehicle in a ditch in the 2200 block of Bevis. Officers detained the driver, though it has not been confirmed if that individual was connected to the pedestrian crash.

Paramedics transported the injured woman to a hospital. Authorities have not released her condition.

The investigation is ongoing under HPD.
