Police Investigate Crash at 29th Street and Alvernon in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2025) — A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a crash at 29th Street and Alvernon on Thursday night.

According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the crash occurred on the night of December 11 in the area of 29th Street and Alvernon Way. 

First responders arrived quickly on the scene to provide aid and assess the situation.

Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian was seriously hurt in the incident. 

Details regarding the circumstances of the crash or whether the driver remained at the scene have not yet been released. 

The identity of the injured individual also remains undisclosed at this time.

As a result of the collision, northbound lanes of Alvernon were temporarily closed to allow emergency crews to work safely and conduct an initial investigation. 

The road has since reopened, but the investigation into what caused the crash is still ongoing.
