Colorado Springs, CO (July 12, 2026) – A man suffered serious injuries in a crash at Astrozon Boulevard and Chelton Road after a vehicle struck him Saturday night, according to police.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Astrozon Boulevard and Chelton Road. Authorities said the man was in the roadway when an oncoming vehicle struck him.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with serious injuries. Police said he is expected to survive.

The crash prompted officials to close the entire intersection for more than two hours while officers investigated the scene and gathered evidence.
