TUCSON, AZ (December 12, 2025)— A serious pedestrian crash on 29th Street is under investigation after a man was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon in midtown Tucson.

According to the Tucson Police Department (TPD), the incident occurred on December 12 near the intersection of 29th Street and Alvernon Way. 

Officers say a 52-year-old man was walking in the area when he was hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment. 

Authorities have not released his identity, and his current condition has not been updated.

Preliminary findings suggest that impairment may have been a factor in the collision, although the investigation remains ongoing. 

TPD has not confirmed whether the driver remained at the scene or if any arrests have been made at this time.

As of now, further details are limited, and police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
