Laredo, TX (August 21, 2025) – A pedestrian sustained injuries in a crash on Houston Street.

A vehicle struck a pedestrian in downtown Laredo on the evening of Thursday, August 21, shortly before 9:30 p.m. 

The collision happened near the intersection of Houston Street and San Bernardo Avenue and may have involved a homeless individual, according to Laredo Police.

Officers responded quickly to the scene and confirmed that the pedestrian survived the incident. 

Emergency responders provided medical attention, while police closed off the surrounding area to secure the scene. 

Authorities have requested the LPD Crash Team to assist in the investigation.

Police are urging drivers to avoid the area and take alternative routes as the investigation continues. Officials plan to release more information as it becomes available.
