Man Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 5 in Newhall

Newhall, CA (September 28, 2025) – A semi-truck struck a pedestrian early Sunday morning in a crash on Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway in Santa Clarita, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Newhall-area office, the man was walking in the southbound No. 2 lane of the freeway when the truck hit him. 

The impact left him lying in the roadway.

CHP Officer Erik Larsen confirmed that the man was conscious when emergency crews transported him to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released additional details about the incident.
