Police Investigate Crash on Walnut Avenue in Visalia

VISALIA, CA (February 20, 2026) – A pedestrian suffered injuries after a vehicle struck them while they were crossing a roadway in a crash on Walnut Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers reported that the crash occurred on eastbound Walnut Avenue, just west of Mooney Boulevard. 

Investigators say the pedestrian was crossing southbound across Walnut Avenue when a Ford Mustang traveling along the roadway struck them.

Authorities indicated that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and was not walking within a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance. 

Officials have not released the identity of the injured pedestrian or details regarding the extent of their injuries.

The driver of the Ford Mustang remained at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.

The Visalia Police Department has assumed responsibility for the ongoing investigation.

As the investigation continues, authorities will work to determine all contributing factors in the collision.
