Police Investigate Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash on 4520 South Central Avenue in South Park

South Park, CA (January 30, 2025) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on 4520 South Central Avenue.

The Los Angeles Police Department is actively investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident in the South Park neighborhood, where multiple vehicles struck a pedestrian, authorities confirmed on Thursday.

LAPD officers responded to the scene near 4520 S. Central Avenue and East 46th Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Upon arrival, they discovered that at least three vehicles heading north on Central had hit a pedestrian walking in the roadway at high speeds, according to an LAPD spokesperson speaking to City News Service.

The driver of the second vehicle stopped and attempted to assist the victim, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Meanwhile, the drivers of the other two vehicles fled without stopping. Authorities have not released descriptions of the fleeing vehicles.
