Houston, TX (May 30, 2025) – A pedestrian died in a crash on Katy Freeway Feeder Road.

Houston police began investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian early Friday morning on the westbound Katy Freeway feeder road near Wilcrest Drive.

The crash occurred just before 2 a.m., when a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian. 

Officers responded to the scene and temporarily shut down the westbound feeder road lanes at the Beltway to conduct their investigation.

At the scene, police administered field sobriety tests and detained two men, though they have not confirmed whether the men were directly involved in the incident. 

As of now, the Houston Police Department has not released further details about the crash.

By 5:45 a.m., authorities began reopening the westbound feeder lanes to traffic.
