Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Lucas and Hunt Road in St.Louis County

St. Louis County, MO (March 18, 2026) – A pedestrian died Wednesday evening after a tractor-trailer crash on Lucas and Hunt Road in Wellston, according to police.

Cpl. Benjamin Santoyo of the North County Police Cooperative said the collision happened at about 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Lucas and Hunt Road near Normandy High School in St. Louis County.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the pedestrian dead. 

Authorities said the tractor-trailer remained at the scene, and the driver stayed there as officers began their investigation.

Police have not released additional details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
