Kern County, CA (April 2, 2026) – A male pedestrian lost his life following a hit-and-run crash on Manor Street Wednesday morning.

The authorities responded to the collision south of East Norris Street in Oildale.

 According to the authorities, the man was walking on Manor Street and a southbound vehicle, traveling at an unknown speed, struck the man.

The victim was thrown to the shoulder on Manor Street and died at the scene.

Moreover, police said the vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction.

CHP is investigating if drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal crash and asked anyone who may have details to contact them at at 661-369-6600.
