Nickolis Taber Arrested After Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash on Central Avenue in Albuquerque

Albuquerque, NM (April 10, 2025) – Pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Central Avenue.

The Albuquerque Police Department arrested 31-year-old Nickolis Taber for allegedly hitting and killing a pedestrian on Thursday morning. 

Around 3 a.m., officers responded to the crash near Central Avenue, west of San Mateo Boulevard.

Investigators determined that a Mazda truck struck the pedestrian and later traced the vehicle back to Taber. 

Authorities charged him with leaving the scene of a crash involving great bodily harm or death.
