70-year-old Pedestrian Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash on Oxnard Street in Valley Glen

 
Los Angeles, CA (July 9, 2020) – On Wednesday, a 70-year-old man resident of Van Nuys died in a hit-and-run crash on Oxnard Street and Cantaloupe Avenue.
 
The crash happened at around 9 p.m. on July 8. According to LAPD, the pedestrian was crossing the road when the metallic-silver 2007 Saturn Ion struck him. The driver then continued eastbound, leaving the man down on the scene.
 
Witnesses indicated that the car has extensive damage to the front, and one of the sedan’s side-view mirrors and other identifiable vehicle parts were found at the scene of the crash.
 
Investigators then looked into the neighborhood for security cameras and porch cameras that might have captured the car’s video. Still, none of the cameras appears to have caught the crash.
