San Benito County, CA (August 21, 2025) – A male pedestrian died in a crash on Highway 156.

A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in San Benito County on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 6:40 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 156 and Buena Vista Road. 

Authorities say the collision involved a vehicle and an adult male pedestrian.

At this time, CHP has not released a description of the vehicle involved. Officials will release the victim’s identity after notifying the next of kin.
