Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Interstate 25 in Pueblo

PUEBLO, CO (December 10, 2025) — A pedestrian died in a crash on Interstate 25 early Wednesday morning.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), the fatal incident occurred around 2 a.m. when a pedestrian attempted to cross the interstate. 

A vehicle struck the individual under circumstances still being investigated by authorities.

Following the crash, law enforcement immediately closed the southbound I-25 from 29th Street to 13th Street. 

Emergency responders remained at the scene for several hours to investigate and safely clear the area. The highway was reopened around 10 a.m.

At this time, additional details about the pedestrian or the driver involved have not been released. 

The cause of the crash remains under active investigation by the Pueblo Police Department.
