Pedro Caceres of Miami Transported in Deadly Vehicle Crash on FM 1787 [Midland, TX]

Midland, TX (May 30, 2025) – Pedro Caceres, 64, of Miami, was injured in a deadly vehicle crash on FM 1787 early Monday morning.

It was around 2:12 a.m. when a 2019 International LT625 with an attached trailer driven by David Carrasco, 38, of Odessa, was traveling east of the freeway.

At the same time, a 2006 Volvo with an attached trailer driven by Pedro Caceres, was also traveling the same way.

Investigators said Carrasco attempted to pass Caceres while Caceres was turning left, however, the two vehicles collided.

Emergency responders declared Carrasco deceased at the scene. 

Caceres, on the other hand, was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

There is no information whether either of the drivers were wearing a seat belt during the collision.

Officers are still investigating the fatal crash.
