Person Killed in Interstate 5 Collision [San Diego, CA]

San Diego, CA (February 13, 2025) – A person was fatally injured following an Interstate 5 collision late Tuesday night.

It was past 11 p.m. when the deadly multi-vehicle crash happened on the northbound freeway at the intersection with Dairy Mart Road.

Responding officers located a blue SUV and another vehicle blocking the middle lanes of the freeway.

Officers said that at least one person was declared dead at the scene and one car caught fire.

CHP is investigating the cause of the deadly crash.
