GRASS VALLEY, CA (October 11, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, Peter Dennis sustained injuries in an alarming vehicle crash on Highway 174 near East Empire Street.

The incident happened on Highway 174 near East Empire Street.

According to CHP Officer Jason Bice, a vehicle clipped a bicyclist for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported the bicyclist, 57-year-old Dennis, to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that there’s no bike lane on that part of Highway 174.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
