PHOENIX, AZ (June 16, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a startling police chase crash on Loop 202 near 24th Street injured two people.

The incident started at around 2:00 p.m. when Mesa officers attempted to pull over a car after reports of a man slumped over in a car.

According to reports, the suspect vehicle fled the scene southbound on Loop 202 and collided with a police cruiser and another vehicle.

Moreover, responders transported the suspect and one officer to a hospital, both with minor injuries.
