2 Dead and 1 Injured in Loveland Auto Accident on Pheasant Crest Drive and WCR 84

LOVELAND, CO (February 5, 2026) – Sunday, a horrific police chase crash on Pheasant Crest Drive and WCR 84 killed 2 men.

The incident began just after 4:15 a.m. on Pheasant Crest Drive and WCR 84.

A Loveland sheriff’s deputy noticed a vehicle without headlights or a license plate and attempted a traffic stop. The driver turned off the vehicle’s lights and fled.

Deputies pursued the car at speeds reaching 120 mph on northbound I-25 before it exited at Mountain Vista and continued east on Vine Drive/Weld County Road 84. The driver lost control near the intersection of Pheasant Crest Drive and WCR 84, where the vehicle struck a power pole, rolled, and ejected two male occupants.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was taken to a hospital, where he later died. A third occupant was extricated from the vehicle and transported to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
