Police Investigate Crash on Fellows and Cullen in Houston
Houston, TX (August 27, 2025) – An off-duty METRO police officer sustained injuries in a crash on Fellows and Cullen on Wednesday.
A vehicle struck an off-duty METRO police officer on a motorcycle while he escorted a funeral procession Wednesday afternoon on Houston’s south side, according to authorities.
The Houston Police Department reported that the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fellows and Cullen.
METRO confirmed that the officer was actively guiding the procession when another vehicle hit him.
Pearland EMS arrived at the scene to provide emergency medical care and transported the injured officer to the hospital.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated that the officer sustained serious injuries but remains in stable condition.
Officials have not released the officer’s identity at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing, and the sheriff’s office has not yet determined whether charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
