Fairfield, CA (September 25, 2024) – On Tuesday evening, a pregnant woman is in critical condition after a crash on East Tabor Avenue. 

The vehicle narrowly avoided hitting a stroller that the woman was pushing, which had her toddler inside, police reported.

The accident occurred around 7:18 p.m. while the woman was crossing East Tabor Avenue near Manor Avenue. 

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but her unborn child did not survive. Her toddler sustained minor injuries and received medical attention.

Police stated that impaired driving was not suspected as a factor in the crash.
