Pacific Beach Hit-and-Run Crash Kills Local Restaurant Worker

Pacific Beach, CA (February 9, 2026) – 41-year-old Qwente “Q” Bryant, a restaurant worker at Tavern at the Beach, was killed in a Garnet Avenue hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning.

The authorities said the victim was found past 2 a.m., lying in the roadway near Gresham Street.

Immediately, the rescuers responded and provided life-saving measures to seriously injured Q, but he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Police are looking for the driver and the vehicle involved, which was described as a white SUV with front-end damage.
