40-Year-Old Rainier Man Injured in SR 507 Collision [Thurston County, WA]

Thurston County, WA (August 1, 2026) – A 40-year-old Rainier man sustained injuries following a SR 507 collision Thursday morning.

The traffic accident occurred before noon at the intersection with Manke Road.

Troopers said a southbound vehicle on the freeway attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection and struck a northbound vehicle driven by the Rainier man.

The two vehicles that collided rested in the middle of the highway.

A vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection was struck by debris from the collision. 

Immediately, rescuers responded to the crash scene and rushed the Rainier man to Madigan Army Medical Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said drugs or alcohol were not involved in the vehicle crash.
